The Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky, working through its special program initiative, Create Hazard, seeks to hire a Creative Economy Coordinator. As a resourceful community development specialist, this person will focus on accomplishing specific concrete objectives over the next two years while nurturing the creative spirit of our entrepreneurial network of community partners. Funding for this position was made possible through a grant awarded by the Educational Foundation of America.


Create Hazard represents a community-wide effort to coordinate and collaborate to achieve the shared goals and aspirations of two key community organizationsPathfinders of Perry County and the Appalachian Arts Alliance.  Each is deeply engaged in the early stages of large redevelopment projects in downtown Hazard. Through these projects they are also closely connected with a third important community-based initiative, InVision Hazard, which is fostering the community and economic revitalization of Hazards historic downtown.
