HistoriCorps®, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, promotes hands-on public involvement in the restoration and preservation of historic places and structures on our public lands through the engagement of volunteers, students, veterans, youth training programs and organizations interested in historic preservation. HistoriCorps partners with federal, state and local land management agencies to provide educational and outdoor opportunities, fostering in our participants a lifelong commitment to the stewardship of our historic resources and public lands. From our Denver, CO headquarters, we coordinate and instruct projects on public lands throughout the United States.

The Operations Manager position is responsible for and oversees all functions of HistoriCorps field operations. This individual will plan, manage, and report on multiple concurrent construction projects. The Operations Manager facilitates all aspects of HistoriCorps projects that involve the maintenance, repair and preservation of historic structures.  The Operations Manager will at times fill in or lead preservation projects.

The Operations Manager is responsible for: preparing estimates and proposals; scheduling traveling teams and jobs; planning job logistics; hiring, training and supervising field staff; ordering, procuring and ensuring delivery of materials to sites; tracking jobs and drafting and submitting job reports in close collaboration with finance manager; maintaining and repairing vehicles, trailers, tools and equipment; supporting field staff. This individual collaborates with the Management Team1 to match the appropriate work force with projects, e.g., volunteers, corps members, students, veterans, Passport in Time volunteers (PIT) or a combination of the foregoing.
