The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy seeks a leader to accelerate its mission to preserve, promote, protect, restore and maintain the historic Olmsted Parks system and its landscapes. 


Qualifications are:

  1. Advanced (Master) degree in Natural Resources /Parks and Recreation or Landscape Architectur
  2. Seven (7) years of experience in a related field with core responsibilities that include fundraising, gift procurement, membership growth, advocacy and relationship building
  3. Experience in strategic planning, and working with a diverse Board of Directors and Committee structure

  4. Strong relationship management skills, tact and professionalism

  5. Strong communication skills and team based management style

  6. Experience in contract management, non-profit administration and finance in support of a $3million+ annual budget

  7. Goal directed, mission oriented and accountable

  8. Knowledgeable and understanding of the history of Frederick Law Olmsted; his design and vision for parks and communities.
