Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated Cultural Resource Specialist Project Manager in our Tulsa office.  Responsibilities include completing and leading activities for Section 106 compliance including identification and evaluation of cultural resources while applying the National Register criteria; conducting research and site visits; preparing reports including historic contexts, property descriptions, and determinations of eligibility; managing small to mid-sized projects; and working with clients.  Some travel will be required.




The successful candidate will have:


  • a masters degree in historic preservation or a related field such as history, architectural history, archaeology, public history, or cultural resource management from an accredited four-year college or university; and


  • at least five years of cultural resource management experience.




The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: completing CRM activities for Section 106 compliance (surveys, evaluation, effect); working on transportation projects, energy projects; preparing historic contexts, survey reports, determinations of eligibility, national register nominations; managing scope and budget on projects. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to conduct research and field surveys.  Candidates must be able to provide, upon request, work examples that demonstrate their strong writing, research, and communication skills.
