The Alabama Historical Commission is seeking a Historic Sites Director with a Strong business management background to oversee the management of 11 sites across the state of Alabama. The site director will improve the historic sites profitability by increasing revenue and historical site visitation. The director will spend a considerable time at the sites to ensure that sites are well maintained and kept in a condition presentable to the public.
Employ innovation and technology to track and improve historic sites profitability by increasing revenue 10% per year and historical site attendance by 5% per year.
Prepares and recommends annual operating and capital budgets to executive director and administers approved budget.
Ensures historic sites are maintained and kept in a condition which is presentable to the public and presents a positive image to the State of Alabama.
Provides leadership to site directors, guiding and directing their activities to ensure they support the overall mission of the Commission.
Displays initiative in managing and improving day-to-day operations at historic sites.
Employee will work independently under the general direction of the executive director.
