Historic Building Architects, llc (HBA) specializes in architecture, historic preservation and materials conservation to help preserve and interpret our shared cultural heritage. We seek especially to serve the needs of owners, stewards and those who care for buildings in the public realm. Design Philosophy: Assist owners and stewards of historic buildings to develop an understanding of the cultural, social and economic value of the properties. Develop a preservation plan philosophy based on research, documentation, and material investigation. Guide intervention and restoration to preserve the cultural values of historic properties for future generations. Facilitate the development of realistic preservation goals for historic properties.

Join Historic Building Architects LLC, an award-winning firm as an intern architect pursuing their professional license. You will learn about historic preservation architecture as you strengthen your skills in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, In-Design, Illustrator and Photoshop. As a small firm you will have opportunities to experience working on projects from Schematic Design through to participating in Construction Administration meeting your IDP requirements. We are looking for a recently (within the past 2 years) graduate student, who has completed a professional degree in architecture, with a focus on historic preservation or a Masters Degree in Historic Preservation.
