$42,500 plus expense stipend

Downtown Sanford, Inc. (DSI), a nonprofit NC redevelopment corporation and designated member of the NC Main Street program, is seeking an energetic, creative Executive Director with excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate and manage marketing and public relations efforts for DSI and to promote, advocate for, and catalyze Downtown revitalization.  Sanford is the beneficiary of her citizens recent approval of a streetscape bond referendum, and construction is now underway.


The Executive Director reports directly to DSIs active Board, functioning as the Boards chief administrative officer and serving on behalf of the Board as a liaison with City and County officials, Downtown business owners and managers, and nonprofits.  Duties and responsibilities also include sponsorship fundraising, encouraging design improvements of existing buildings, the coordination of volunteers, and the supervision and maintenance of DSIs financial accounts.



The successful candidate will have graduated from an accredited four-year university with a degree in business administration, marketing, public administration, economics, or some other relevant course of study.  Previous work experience of at least four years is strongly preferred.
