Conservation Intern
Internship Opportunity
Bladensburg, MD

Aeon seeks applicants for a Conservation Intern position.  Qualified candidates should have a background in historic preservation and/or architecture, be proficient in AutoCAD, and be comfortable performing field work.  The applicant will support conservators in conservation efforts, including documentation, research, treatment, report writing, and administrative tasks. The applicant will also aid in office organization and administration. Knowledge of material conditions, strong computer skills, and fieldwork is preferred. This position is based in the office/lab, but the applicant will have opportunities to work in the field and must be able to lift, stand, and work from heights such as on scaffolding.  The pay will be in the range of $10-15 per hour, commensurate with experience. The position is 30-40 hours a week depending on the applicants availability and Aeons needs.  The projected period of employment is a minimum of 8 weeks, although this may be extended based on performance, workload, and availability.
