Louis Berger solicits applications for the position of Archaeologist in support of our U.S. operations. We are looking for dedicated, self motivated individuals wishing to pursue quality archaeological research in a cultural resource management context.
Applicants must have a graduate degree in Anthropology/Archaeology with a minimum post-degree experience of five years directing archaeological planning studies, surveys, evaluations, and data recovery projects in the context of Section 106/110 compliance.
Demonstrated experience in business development, client management, directing the production of quality reports, managing multiple projects, managing personnel, and budgeting is essential.
A proven track record of winning and executing work in a doer-seller role is essential.
Desirable skills and experience include NEPA documentation, technical writing (CRM reports and associated documentation), geoarchaeology, specialized material cultural analyses, stakeholder and tribal coordination, and public involvement.
The preferred candidate will have working familiarity with federal and state laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines governing cultural resources. Applicants must detail their area of specialization and document all current permits and licenses.
