Historic Hudson Valley is a not-for-profit education organization that interprets and promotes historic landmarks of national significance in the Hudson Valley for the benefit and enjoyment of the public. In support of its educational mission, Historic Hudson Valley owns, restores, and preserves several sites that possess documented historical integrity, architectural distinction, superb decorative and fine arts collections, and exceptional importance of landscape and setting. These sites help Historic Hudson Valley make meaning for visitors in a variety of settings, including traditional house and landscape tours, formal educational programs for schoolchildren, popular on-site special events, and digital media.

Are you a good communicator? Do you have a thirst for knowledge and a flair for working with the public? You could be part of the team that brings to life some of the Hudson Valleys most significant historic sites.

With national visibility and local accolades as the tri-state areas top source for robust and entertaining educational experiences, Historic Hudson Valley (www.hudsonvalley.org) welcomes more than 250,000 visitors a year to our school programs, large-scale special events, and tours of historic properties including Washington Irvings Sunnyside, Van Cortlandt Manor, Philipsburg Manor, and Union Church of Pocantico Hills.

Historic Hudson Valley, Westchester Countys largest cultural organization, seeks hard-working, enthusiastic, outgoing Program Associates who will provide meaningful, accurate interpretation of these National Historic Landmarks to visitors of various ages. These are part-time, seasonal positions (May December) that offer and require a lot of flexibility (weekend, holiday, and evening availability are a must.)

You must be high energy, in good physical condition, and be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather. Acting and/or hospitality experience, knowledge of K-12 education, knowledge of learning techniques within different grade levels and an interest or background in education, history, museum education or related field is highly desired.

In the role of Program Associate, you will be giving tours and guiding the public through our historic sites, and you will also be working on our exciting roster of special events, including The Great Jack OLantern Blaze, Horsemans Hollow, and LIGHTSCAPES.

Besides a congenial working environment, a starting pay rate of $10.00 per hour and flexible hours, Historic Hudson Valley offers:
