The Maryland Historical Trust (MHT) is the state agency dedicated to preserving and interpreting the legacy of Maryland's past. Through research, conservation and education, the MHT assists the people of Maryland in understanding their historical and cultural heritage. Part of the Maryland Department of Planning, the MHT serves as Maryland's State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).

Administrator I: Architectural Survey Data Analyst

Crownsville, MD

The Architectural Survey Data Analyst will undertake a comprehensive study of the state's architectural survey program, focusing on documentation included in the Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties. 

Duties of this position will include completing a summary report of survey data by county, outlining the different kinds of survey data found in the inventory, levels of survey documentation, and re-survey needs. The study will include a list of significant themes and major gaps in the survey data identified by county, region, or theme, as well as identifying priorities for future suvey work throughout the state. 

This is a full-time contractual position. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, or closely related field. 

Computer proficiency.

Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
