JOIN HISTORICORPS & HISTORICORPS INSTITUTES 2016 VETERANS, STUDENTS AND YOUTH CREW FOR THE RESTORATION OF FOREST LODGE

Broaden your skills and gain hands-on experience in historic preservation, building restoration, and the construction trades. Learn employable new skills while enjoying the extraordinary outdoor setting of Wisconsins pristine North Woods. Veterans, students and youth will share an unforgettable experience, taught by seasoned preservation experts, working with volunteer crews to preserve our nations historically significant rustic buildings at Forest Lodge. Participants have the opportunity to earn credit toward HistoriCorps Institutes Certificate in Heritage Conservation and Construction.

Who Can Participate?

Veterans up to age 35

Students or youth between the ages of 18 and 25

***Students and Veterans satisfactorily completing all four sessions will receive their Certificate of Achievement in Heritage Conservation and Construction from HistoriCorps Institute.

Earn a WEEKLY STIPEND of $480 and learn:

Window restoration

Historic landscaping

Siding replacement

Foundation repair

Preservation theory

Construction business

Crew members should expect:

40 hour work weeks

Tent camping

Working in all weather conditions

To meet AMAZING people

Delicious meals

Join the Crew for one or more sessions including:

Session 1: June 6 -10

Session 2: June 13-17

Session 3: June 20 -24

Session 4: June 27 - July 1
