Bachelors degree in planning or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work in a team environment on a wide range of projects involving both public and private interests is essential. Excellent written, oral, and graphic communication skills; research skills; organizational and time management skills; familiarity with the planning process at the local level.


Serve as project planner on assigned projects; prepare resource documentation of the Countys historic and cultural assets; perform cultural resource evaluations for federal, state, and County reviews; develop preservation planning strategies for municipalities; carry out special preservation projects involving topics such as commercial fašade improvements, helping draft municipal ordinances to protect historic resources; ADA compliance of historic places, and neighborhood revitalization; provide preservation input in Comprehensive Plans and ordinances; provide information and technical assistance to municipalities, local historic groups, and the public; perform related duties as required and/or directed.
