Details: EHT Traceries seeks a preservation professional with a strong background in architecture to assist with our rehabilitation tax credit projects, preservation plans, and historic structures reports. Applicants should have experience reviewing architectural drawings, experience with design review projects, application of the Secretary of the Interior Standards, and the Historic Preservation Certification Application process.
This position requires a high degree of proven organizational skills, forethought, technical expertise, responsibility, and mature judgment. The candidate must have ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with direct contact to governmental agencies, clients, the public, and various project team members. The successful applicant will possess knowledge of MS Word Office and Adobe Creative Suite applications, write detailed architectural descriptions, and be able to read and review architectural and engineering drawings. Salary will be based on individual qualifications and experience.
Requirements: Qualified candidate must meet the Secretary of the Interiors Professional Qualification Standards in Architectural History, Architecture, and/or Historic Preservation (36 CFR Part 61). Should have Masters Degree (in hand) in architecture, architectural history, historic preservation, urban planning, or related field. An undergraduate degree in architecture is preferred. Excellent research, writing, photography, and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
