Identifies and documents National Park Service owned and managed historic/cultural landscapes and associated historic buildings/structures. Plans and conducts historical research on cultural landscapes and their character defining features, including field work and off-site research. Prepares Determinations of Eligibility and Determinations of Ineligibility for review and approval by Midwest Region Park Superintendents and State Historic Preservation Offices. Reviews historic research projects completed by National Park Service staff and contractors and makes professional editorial comments and recommendations.
