This Regional Site Manager (Staff Manager) position will work within a designated historic sites region and manage multiple sites at both Coronado Historic Site located in Bernalillo, New Mexico and at Jemez Historic Site, located in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. The Regional Site Manager is responsible for the professional administration of the State Historic Sites located within this designated region. The Regional Site Manager is charged with carrying out the mission and strategic goals of the Historic Sites Division and of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The position primarily focuses on four core areas: 1) Cultural Resource Management, including preservation of the sites and collections management; 2) Interpretative Programming, including education and public programs, special events, and exhibits; 3) Fund and Partnership Development, including achieving fundraising goals and strategic plans; and 4) Marketing to increase access and visitation while building a high level public profile and awareness. Preference will be given to applicants with a Masters Degree of Arts in museum studies, public history, history, or a related field.
