Responsible for assisting the Compliance Review Supervisor within the Tribal Historic Preservation Office of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Duties include consulting with state and federal agencies concerning off-reservation NHPA Section 106 undertakings, reviewing NEPA and Section 106 documents, assisting with in-house document quality control, assisting in maintaining the document management system, and other duties as assigned. This is primarily an office position with occasional travel for training, conferences, and face-to-face consultations. An MA in historic preservation, history, anthropology, or archaeology is preferred. Previous archaeology fieldwork is a plus, as is previous experience working for a Tribal Government and/or working with Tribal members. This is an opportunity for a calm, level headed, analytical thinker who can be tactful and diplomatic but have no fear of dealing with government officials in an often stressful environment.
