Job Description

LIMITED: †This is a Limited position with an expected end date of 12/31/2019.

The City and County of Denver is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual with urban design, city planning, and/or architecture experience to join our team within the Planning Services section of the Community Planning and Development Department as an†Associate City Planner Urban Design Limited.

The position will offer the opportunity to participate on interdisciplinary teams on a variety of exciting and complex urban design, land use, and transportation initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in City or Regional Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a directly related degree.

Experience Requirement:

One year professional city or regional planning experience or one year of experience creating, drawing, and rendering urban design plans and concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills; enjoy solving problems especially procedural ones; evidence academic and/or practical experience with zoning regulations (especially form-based codes); a desire to work with and assist customers; and exhibit an authentic interest in and enthusiasm for all things zoning.†
