This position falls within the Research and Survey unit of the Office of Research, Survey & Registration at†the Maryland Historical Trust. †This unit is the core of the office, from which all research and field data is developed, and includes the statewide architectural survey program.
This position oversees the survey of standing structures throughout the state and supervises documentation efforts for inclusion in the Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties (MIHP).† This includes intensive review of MIHP survey forms, photographs, measured drawings, research designs and final written reports to ensure they meet State and Federal standards.†
This position administers state and federal grant programs related to multi-disciplinary survey and evaluation activities throughout the state including selection of grants, project development, hiring, training, and supervision of consultants in the field.
In addition, this position conducts in-depth field analysis and documentation of significant recourses and provides technical expertise to state agencies, local governments, federal agencies, non-profit organizations and the general public.
