Small architectural firm on Upper East Side looking for architect and/or preservationist with experience in historic restoration and traditional design. Our projects involve buildings in New York City and Westchester, usually with historic significance. We also engage in interior and exterior design projects. Each member of our team designs, develops contract documents, performs inspections, creates FISP Reports, and manages projects. Our projects often require substantial field and forensic work performed on scaffold equipment.
Kamen Tall Architects is a highly motivated professional team. We work in a beautiful supportive studio environment and are accommodating to the individual needs of each employee. Each member of our team has future growth potential within the office structure.
Suitable applicants must possess design skills and be knowledgeable with facade restoration (NYC FISP work and certification for scaffold use is a plus). The applicant will be expected to develop construction documents, administer the work and deal directly with clients.
The applicant must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and display enthusiasm for this type of work. The position requires project manager level decision making, extremely good judgment and excellent architectural and/or preservation skills.
Immediate availability is preferred.
