Assist with the preservation and archiving a large trove of letters dating from the period 1929--early 1930s and another set from WW II.


My mother, Sophie Melvin Gerson was active and known for her work in the textile strike in Gastonia North Carolina in 1929.

My father, Simon W. Gerson, was a communist journalist and organizer who edited the Daily Worker for many years.
