GBG is an international leader in the use of Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE) for the forensic investigation of structures. With over 30 years of experience and cutting edge survey tools including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Infrared Thermography, Ultrasonic and Acoustic Methods, we provide information on structural arrangement and condition using non-invasive methods, with a wide range of deliverables. We also specialize in Measured Building Survey (MBS), delivering 2D conventional As-Built data and 3D, CAD, BIM and FE models. Exciting graduate-level opportunity with GB Geotechnics USA Inc. - an International Structural Investigation / Non Destructive Evaluation [NDE] and Measured Building Survey [MBS] firm, recruiting for a Jr. Project Manager role.

The successful candidate will be expected to bring his / her skills and experience into the role of Jr. Project Manager. The ideal candidate must be capable of understanding, collecting, analyzing and reporting on data from a variety of building assessment projects. It is expected that the individual would have experience in the field, and would require minimal training in the areas of NDE & Documentation. The position is intended to provide experience and support in a team environment both on-site, and in the Manhattan office for a combined minimum of 37.5 hours a week. Although regular office hours are 09:00 to 17:30, Mon thru Fri, there is often a requirement for flexibility and frequent overnight / weekend work opportunities.

The successful candidate will be versatile with an aptitude for problem solving and combining a range of duties including [but not limited to] the following:

  • Manual site work & data collection
  • Office-based data analysis, data processing and report writing
  • Communicating with clients - attendance at site visits, developing proposals, converting to active projects and follow up upon completion
  • Experience in NDE equipment and processes is vital (although continuous training will be provided) key equipment is Ground Penetrating Radar, Infrared Thermal Imaging, Ultrasonic & Acoustic Devices, Laser Scanning, etc.
  • Office administration - form filling, project planning, meetings, phone calls
  • Experience in marketing & business development - must enjoy public speaking

Projects are primarily based within New York City and the tri-state area, but may require occasional travel throughout the USA, potentially including GBGs LA office. Site work may include extended working hours, weekends and overnight sessions for which time is remunerated.

Proficiency in AutoCad, Revit, In-Design, Microsoft Office and good computer literacy is essential. 4+ years training or experience in at least one of the following fields is preferred but not required.

Candidates must hold a valid Passport, US Drivers License and be eligible to work in the USA.
