Architecture and Conservation

The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commissionís Division of Architecture and Preservation is seeking a skilled preservation architect to join its Harrisburg office as an Architectural Consultant. The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission is responsible for more than 450 buildings across 34 historic sites and museums throughout the commonwealth, including the State Museum of Pennsylvania and the State Archives. The Architectural Consultant hired for this position will serve as a project coordinator for large-scale architectural and engineering projects as well as a designer for small-scale preservation projects across these sites.

Work includes developing and reviewing construction drawings, specifications, budgets, and schedules.The successful candidate will have experience in applying the Secretary of Interiors Standards, excellent communications skills, and the ability to mulit-task and prioritize.Experience with AutoCAD is required.
