Details
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
> Inventory and evaluation of built environment resources under the NRHP criteria 
> Conducting fieldwork (reconnaissance and intensive), background research, and report completion
> Preparation of technical documents, including reports and inventory forms, in compliance with NHPA regulations and state reporting standards
> Section 106 Documentation and analysis
> Aiding in preparing sections of Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) and Environmental Assessments (EAs) and NHPA Section 106 Consultation Documentation
> Ongoing written and verbal coordination and consulting with team members and clients
> Assistance with marketing and proposals
> Technical support to various projects

Qualifications:

> Graduate degree in Architectural History, History, Historic Preservation or related field

> Four to seven years professional consulting experience in cultural resources management or a related professional field
> Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
> Must be locally available for projects
> Ability to frequently travel to field sites out of local area
> Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and Adobe Acrobat, knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and GIS a plus
> Knowledge of NHPA, knowledge of NEPA a plus
> Knowledge of architectural terminology, Secretary of the Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties
> Experience leading site recordation in both rural and urban settings. Experience documenting military resources and modern-era resources a plus.
> Experience in assisting with scoping and bidding efforts
> Ability to develop and follow through with client outreach and marketing efforts
> Strong photography skills
> Strong business/client orientation
> Proficiency with GPS equipment desired
> Experience working with and assisting archaeological staff a plus
