Job Summary

Building Hugger is looking to add a strategic Residential Sales Manager to our ever growing team! We are a young company with an old soul, reviving old school craftsmanship and historic architectural beauties one window at a time. As a band of skilled historic window restoration specialists dedicated to our craft and hellbent on dispelling vinyl window myths, we have forged a reputation as one of the Detroit area's go-to window restoration resources. As such, we value cultivating long term relationships with our clients over the aggressive sales tactics of replacement window companies, and are looking for a talented salesperson with a proven track record of providing top notch customer service. No two projects are ever alike, so we need someone that can use creative problem solving to guide the client through a series of decisions to the final sale. We have built a value driven, knowledge-based business around a skilled team of huggers, and we're looking for someone who can represent our brand and help us take our residential business it to the next level!

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Meet agreed upon sales goals
  • Analyze territory/market potential
  • Manage client information in CRM
  • Organize & manage mailing list
  • Manage incoming leads via phone, email, SM platforms, web, etc; schedule estimates
  • Meet on site for estimates with clients and consultants; perform site & condition assessment as needed for estimates
  • Manage entire restoration sales process through closing, including estimates, negotiations, drawing up contracts, sending invoice, and collecting initial draw payment
  • Manage storm window product sales process through contract & downpayment
  • Coordinate scheduling and staffing with the rest of the management team
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture key dempgraphics
  • Provide weekly report of sales success
  • Continuously improve through feedback

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 5+ years experience in B2C and/or B2B sales
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Track record of superior performance metrics
  • Ability to travel to jobsites throughout the region
  • Construction or related experience a plus but not required, but willingness to learn required
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Solid network connections
  • Highly motivated and target driven


  • Base pay commensurate with experience plus commission
