Archaeological Field Technician to perform all aspects of fieldwork (Phase IA, IB, I, II, III, Data Recovery, Monitoring, Shovel Testing, Trenching). Self-motivated, physically able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions and be able to follow instructions from crew chief.




Participation in an archaeological field school and a Bachelors degree in anthropology, archaeology, or related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. The ability to work under supervisor and as part of a team is necessary. Already living in the Washington DC area, have own transportation.


Be able to respond and head out to field to work on short notice is necessary. Local to the DC area as there is not lodging or meal compensation, only mileage compensation.
