Basic Function
Responsible for performing hands-on restoration practices inaccordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation. This position will work mostly in the shop and will rarely go on site to perform restoration tasks. Reliable, daily transportation and personal vehicle are required.
Responsibilities
1. Safely and efficiently perform basic restoration practices such as steaming, deglazing, scraping, sanding, repairs, milling, cleaning glass; use of abatron, 2p-10, and other materials.
2. Safely operate machinery including but not limited to: table saw, planer, jointer, router, electric sander, heat gun, circular saw, miter saw
3. Run errands to pick up supplies for shop on emergency basis or to pick up supplies for active client (glass, paint, hardware) if asked by Project Manager, Shop Manager, or Operations Manager. Deliver tools and supplies to crew members on job sites within the city of New Orleans.
4. Check calendar for assignment before the start of each work day and maintain any required documents. Use time-tracking app to maintain personal log of daily work.
