Architectural Historian

RK&K is seeking qualified candidates for an Architectural Historian to support on-going and upcoming projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. This is a temporary, part-time/full-time position located at RK&K's Baltimore headquarters. The position has the potential to be extended or become permanent.

Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Graduate degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, or closely related field
  • Experience with historic architecture in the Mid-Atlantic region
  • Understanding of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act
  • Ability to work well independently, and in a team environment that includes archaeologists and environmental planners
  • Solid research, technical writing, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail when authoring and reviewing work
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ArcGIS

  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Clean driving record
