Our firm is a nationally recognized leader of historic preservation and cultural landscape design. We have consulted with the National Park Service (NPS) for two decades, serving as cultural resource planners and designers. We currently serve as the prime consultant on an IDIQ contract with the Southeastern Regional Office and serve on nation-wide design teams for the NPS. As prime consultant, we manage a team comprised of archeologists, architects, structural and civil engineers, natural resource specialists, and material conservationists. We coordinate the efforts of each discipline and have successfully prepared dozens of cultural landscape and historic structure reports that guide the preservation efforts of the NPS.

WLA Studio is seeking a Historic Preservation Specialist to join our team. Candidates shall have 2+ years experience and be able to provide project support including historical research, evaluation of National Register criteria, recordation and evaluation of cultural resources, report production, mapping, and graphics. Candidate should be responsible, hard-working, and self-motivated, and must have strong written, research, and graphic communication skills. Technical Skills: Adobe Suite including Illustrator and InDesign and Microsoft Office required, familiarity with AutoCAD is desired. Education Requirements: Degree in historic preservation or affiliated field.
