Conducts field surveys to compile historical and architectural data; researches and analyzes sources of information such as court records, tax assessments, archives, newspapers and photographs; organizes and evaluates data on the basis of authenticity and relevant significance, and prepares comprehensive reports from same; submits recommendations for renovation or remodeling of historical structures; reviews work-in-progress and upon completion for compliance with approved plans; prepares Economic Recovery Tax Act certifications and National Register nominations; prepares the agenda for meetings of the Architectural Review Board; processes applications for work on historic buildings and structures; updates the Design Review Guidelines; coordinates the activities of the Guideline Committee; assists in the creation of brochures and booklets; serves on committees as department staff representative; performs related work as required.
