At the GS-13 level, the employee will serve as a principal contributor/project manager responsible for analyzing and interpreting the implications of Federal, State, and local environmental regulations including National Environmental Policy Act for government and other agencies. The employee must be able to present complex, technical issues in a meaningful way to project stakeholders using effective communication and presentation skills. The ideal candidate has expert knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related cultural resource protection laws and regulations including: National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA); U.S. Department of Transportation Act, Section 4(f); Executive Order (EO) 13175: Consultation and Coordination with Indian Tribal Governments; and EO 12898 on Environmental Justice. You will support projects involving and performing cultural and historic analyses; environmental compliance; environmental assessments and impact studies, development and analyses of alternatives to proposed federal actions; historic preservation; and environmental regulatory development and compliance evaluations. The candidate has experience supporting program business development by contributing to maintaining assigned business area(s) and expanding the portfolio of projects.
