Stone Point Services is seeking an SOI qualified architectural historian for survey and 106 compliance. The successful applicant should have the ability to complete deed research within Texas and adjoining states. The preferred base would be in Central Texas or the Dallas/Fort Worth area but the exact location is negotiable. This is a home-based position with travel to sites and archival resources as necessary. The position is full-time and salaried with benefits and is available for immediate hire. The successful candidate must have the following skills: Historical research including deed and title research; Historic resource evaluations; Technical report writing, including architectural descriptions and NRHP evaluations; Knowledge of architectural types and styles.


Candidates must meet the following qualifications:


  • Applicants must meet the Secretary of the Interiors Professional Qualification Standards for Architectural History.
  • Applicants must possess a Masters Degree or Ph.D. in History, Architectural History, Historic Preservation or closely related field.
  • Applicants must have the ability to write technical reports and work unsupervised.

Applicant must provide examples of writing and must provide examples of previous  completed research.
