In 2002 and 2007, museum leaders gathered at Kykuit, the New York home of John D. Rockefeller Jr., to consider future directions for historic properties. Ken Turino, manager of community engagement and exhibitions at Historic New England, discusses creative ways historic sites are addressing community needs and being relevant and sustainable.
